Who needs a fancy schmancy expensive salon? Sometimes you just want a nice, simple haircut.
That was the whole pitch for Supercuts. We built the campaign as ten 15-second spots, each one making a single point: longer hours, a location on every corner, cuts for the whole family, in and out fast, etc.
The structure was the real work. Every spot was cut to stand on its own or snap together with another. A franchisee could run two 15s back to back as a full 30, or split them apart and place each one on its own for a cheaper, more flexible buy. One campaign, rearranged by whoever was writing the check in whatever market they ran it.
No frills on the screen, and none in the media plan either.
